Kona Hawaiian BBQ, located at 4505 Peoria St #101 in Denver, has quickly become a standout dining option for both locals and visitors alike. With rave reviews heralding it as one of the best eateries in the area, the restaurant is celebrated for its fresh and rapidly served Hawaiian fare. Many diners, like Paul G., emphasize the importance of their unique Hawaiian drinks to complement the meal, making it a true cultural experience.
Cleanliness and customer service are also consistently praised. Joe Trey noted the friendly staff and recommended ordering directly for takeout to save on costs. The standout dishes seem to revolve around their meat offerings, especially the barbecue combinations. Salvador Martinez, on his first visit, enjoyed a delightful mix of chicken, beef, and ribs, all deemed fresh and delectable.
On the other hand, while Tung Pham found the Kalua pork a bit dry, he highly praised the chicken katsu and teriyaki. The macaroni salad is a must-add, providing a comforting side to the robust flavors of the main dishes. With options like loco moco and a barbecue trio, Kona Hawaiian BBQ delivers a diverse palette that caters to various tastes, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone craving genuine Hawaiian BBQ in Denver.

One of the best places to eat at in Denver. I go to denver once a year and I make it my priority to go to kona Hawaiian BBQ. Food is always prepared fresh and fast. You have to complete your experience with the hawaiian drinks as well. Over all great restaurant. Ill be back again next year...

Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff. We came for takeout. Be sure to order direct if getting takeout - it’s less expensive than using popular ordering services. Didn’t see the loco moco online so we look forward to trying that next time. Everything was excellent - love the combination options!

Stopped in for a business lunch. First time ever trying this restaurant. Very clean and the staff was friendly. I had the chicken beef and ribs combo plate white rice and macaroni salad and veggies. All was very fresh and delicious I will be sure to be back.

All of their barbecue meats are really good. I usually get the short rib but they're barbecue trio is really good too. Great place to go for people with Paleo diet or carnivore diet

We found this spot online and we ran over there as fast as we could. We love Hawaiian BBQ and this spot hit the spot. I got the Kalua pork (too dry and salty) and chicken katsu (fried perfect). My lady got a mix of chicken teriyaki (delicious), beef (super marinated) and katsu. We also ordered extra mac salad which I would always recommend. Overall, would recommend and would definitely go back.

Aloha! Having lived on O'ahu for a couple years, absolutely love Hawaiian food. This place won't let you down. Similar to L&L. The Kona Fire Chicken was great - not overly spicy, but just right for flavor. Dumplings (pretty sure it was Gyoza to be honest), were awesome. And they have Hawaiian Sun in a can - you gotta have the Pass-O-Guava - paradise in a can.

The food was absolutely amazing that I forgot to take a picture we ordered mini meals of shrimp, bbq chicken and beef. My kid ordered spam musubi. It was all delicious!

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Food and sauces very tasty. Decent selection. Would be nice if they added a pineapple whip shake. Clean inside. Would visit again
